Llangors Church in Wales Primary School

Eco-Committee

At Llangors School we believe our pupils should have a sense of ownership and responsibility regarding changes to our planet. Every class has at least one elected eco-representative, who is responsible for overseeing sustainable approaches in the classroom such as turning off taps, recycling, putting litter in the bin, conserving energy, disposing of food waste. Each half term class elected representatives attend Eco Council meetings to discuss ideas and share their thoughts and feelings about sustainability in our school.

“Let us be good stewards of the Earth we inherited. All of us have to share the Earth’s fragile ecosystems and precious resources, and each of us has a role to play in preserving them. If we are to go on living together on this earth, we must all be responsible for it.”
